Develop a corporate design that allows the Russian mobile phone provider Tele2, – once positioned as a rebel – to grow up without losing its identity. KW43 Branddesign, in cooperation with its Russian network partner GREY Moscow, mastered this balancing act for the fourth largest Russian mobile phone provider in a rapidly growing mobile communications market. The aim is to open up new target markets.

The Task
In order to reach a new target audience, it was necessary to strengthen the Russian mobile phone provider’s original brand and at the same time develop a more mature corporate design for its new positioning in the market.

The Solution
A modern and emotional design concept was developed to create brand recognition. This was achieved through collaboration within the GREY network: KW43 Branddesign, design expert based in Düsseldorf, developed the complete layout system, concept and implementation by GREY Moscow. This approach

makes it possible to optimally combine global trends with the special features of regional markets.

The Result
The outcome is a new corporate identity that does justice to the technical competencies and quality of the company with Swedish roots but maintains the invaluable features of its previous presence. The new philosophy »Other rules« expresses the new self-image. The new corporate design is flexible, simple and allows for a pragmatic approach. It has been optimised especially for web and point of sale, to accommodate the primary sales channels.
